More Right Skin Riveting

Quick update from a fun session with Nico. We spent an hour and I taught Nico how to use the big bucking bar for top skin riveting. We learned that on the first couple of bucks it is so important to be perfect flat on the skin. Otherwise the flush rivet heads end up sitting a bit proud. We had a good run of rivets going, but then 3 in a row that need to be drilled out. No matter. We had a good time, and any build time with the boys is worth it, even if it all needs to be undone. Below are pictures from the evening.

I will continue to work on the top skin as helpers are available, but in the mean time, I’ll will continue to move forward with the Aileron assembly. Until next session…..Happy Building!
