Cold morning and pleasant afternoon sessions got me through the countersinking challenge! Glad that’s done!!
A great weekend of flying, family, and fun! Lots of prep work over three sessions as I march towards final riveting of the skins!
Time to start a new section! This session I start the “Riveting the Wing Skins” section with fitting the Pitot Mast into the bottom skin.
In between a busy weekend I managed to get the access cover sealed up and workshop reconfigured. Read the quick post for the details.
In this session Sam, Tod, and I wrap up the last major sealant session with the right tank baffle closure. Read on for a quick wrap of the evening.
In preparation for baffle closing, i installed the fuel sender unit in the right baffle.
It’s finally time to take the final step on the left tank and pressure test for leaks. It is the culmination of all the work done in the last few months, and success would be euphoric, while failure could mean weeks and weeks of more work. Read the post to see how it turned out!
In what turned out to be quite an upside-down session, I struggled to get the Baffle Fuel Sender installed. Check out what I needed to do to get it done!
