Fuel Tank Ribs Prep

An RV-8 Build Log
Scattered throughout a lazy Sunday I managed to get some rib prep work done.
I took a quick break from build today to complete my glider tow pilot checkout. When I got home I had a surprise waiting for me…my wing walk doubler material!! Check out the post for more information on both.
Somehow I managed to install the brackets completely backward, so I spent some time reversing them, and then mounted the tank baffle for fitting. I hope you enjoy the quick post!
The boys and I had a good session completing the tank attach angles, and connecting them to the main spar. Jack and Nico were both a big help in getting it done!
After a week of distractions (good ones!), I was able to get back to the wing tonight. In this post, I tackle the final tasks on the leading edge fitting, and then moved on to the first steps in the fuel tank build!
With a scarcity of clecos (more coming Thursday) I scraped and scavenged to keep the leading edge builds going. See how it went!
